Just because Biden is a Democrat and Judith isn't, she can still congratulate the man FFS. I fear for the future of this country if this is how you react over a election that wasn't even yours...

After four days of painstaking ballot-counting across several battleground states, Biden has been declared the President-elect after flipping the crucial state of Pennsylvania, securing its 20 electoral votes by a razor-thin margin.

The Ministry of Health has confirmed an Auckland quarantine worker has tested positive for COVID-19.

The worker was tested regularly as part of routine testing, returning a negative test on November 4 before developing symptoms on November 5.

The Royal New Zealand Air Force Orion aircraft that was tasked on a search and rescue mission this week found two boats after they were reported missing near Kiribati, with one boat 120 nautical miles away from land. The two boats, which had been separately reported as missing, were found in quick succession. 
 
The joint search and rescue operation was coordinated by the Rescue Coordination Centre Fiji, with the Rescue Coordination Centre New Zealand (RCCNZ) providing assistance.

There are two new cases in managed isolation and quarantine facilities today.

There was no live briefing today. In a statement, the Ministry of Health said one case arrived on 31 October from Singapore and tested positive around day three, and the other arrived was detected in managed isolation in Auckland, after being given permission to join a family member recently arrived from overseas.
