Just a few years ago it seemed like Rocket Lab was going to be an up-and-comer in the launch world, and so they are today — in addition to going reusable, creating a low-cost satellite platform, and planning a mission to Venus. CEO and founder Peter Beck, speaking at TC Sessions: Space, talked about how he and the company have taken on ever more responsibilities without burning out.
The company just had a successful launch earlier this week, and a month ago demonstrated its first-ever recovery of an Electron vehicle’s first stage.

The Naval Service is planning to acquire two new ships for post-Brexit fishery protection patrols in the Irish Sea next year.
They will be smaller than the 90m-long vessels currently being used as larger ships are needed to patrol the Atlantic during bad weather, whereas the weather in the Irish Sea isn't as inclement.

It's understood that two ships not being used by a foreign navy are currently being examined and a formal approach to purchase them could be made soon. An option to have them purpose-built is also being considered, with sources saying they could be built by a European shipyard within six months.
Makes me wonder are they looking at the the RNZN's two IPV's

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Saturday (local time) imposed tighter coronavirus controls on millions of people in England and drastically scaled back plans to ease restrictions over Christmas, seeking to curb a new more infectious strain of the virus.
The number of cases in England has soared in the last two weeks because of a variant of the virus that scientists said is up to 70 percent more transmissible. Johnson said the Government had to take urgent action.

A growing cluster of COVID-19 in Sydney's Northern Beaches is not expected to burst plans for a trans-Tasman travel bubble, according to an expert.
The cluster increased to 41 cases on Saturday, with officials ordering a three-day lockdown for locals.
