A New Zealand Government minister has visited Ukraine for the first time since the war began in February.
Defence Minister Peeni Henare went to the capital Kyiv and met with his Ukrainian counterpart, Oleksiy Reznikov, for a one-on-one bilateral meeting.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has landed in Bangkok for the final meeting of world leaders in a week of global summits, now overshadowed by the war in Ukraine.
“Everyone recognises that greater tension, greater conflict in our region is good for no-one,” Ardern said, before travelling to Thailand from Vietnam on Thursday.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of an Apec leaders summit in Bangkok, Thailand.
A face-to-face meeting with Xi has been confirmed among the bilateral meetings Ardern has lined up, it is understood, as world leaders assemble in Bangkok for an Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation (Apec) forum in the coming days.
