WASHINGTON (NNS) -- Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Adm. Mike Gilday hosted Chief of the Royal New Zealand Navy (RNZN) Rear Adm. David Proctor, at the Pentagon for a meeting, Jan. 23.

The leaders discussed opportunities for greater mutual support in advancing the two nations’ shared values, goals, and security interests, particularly, in the area of maritime domain awareness.

The Chief of Army says there is a "minimal" chance that unexploded New Zealand munitions caused civilian deaths in Afghanistan.

And he is questioning whether the NZ Defence Force left behind any unexploded ordnance at all in the firing ranges that its soldiers used near Bamiyan.

 What I want to know is, what other ordnance did we take over there other than a couple of LAV's that would leave all these high explosives and unexploded ordnance rounds??? As the article said, they knew what they fired and cleared range after firing etc...
