Armed police officers and dog units have swarmed Somerville St in Waverley this afternoon. 

A police spokesperson said officers arrived at 12.35pm and were attending to an ongoing incident regarding an assault. 

A reporter on the scene said that armed officers were gathering outside a house with dog units.

An ambulance is also now on scene.
