The ultimate traffic-buster is available on Trade Me - a functional tank.

The 1973 Sabre is described as a "great 'little tank'" which "needs a good home". It currently has a starting price of $75,000.

"Transmission is a little tired but still gets around," the auction reads.

"The turret traverse is missing but the turret lock works. Just unlock and the turret can be pushed around by hand. Has a dummy gun (pipe) in it as well as replica smoke grenade launchers."

Images show the vehicle being driven around - including making a stop-off at a KFC drive-through, much to the amusement of the workers inside.

It's already attracting attention from Kiwis, with more than 50 people adding it to their watchlists.

"Does it have a current REGO and WOF? This might help with Auckland's traffic," one person commented.

The Sabre is pick-up only from Huntly.
