Plant more trees, it is a renewable source. New Zealand forestry industry has grown and we are always planting new trees in area's and yes cutting some down in others as they mature.

Concrete is a huge carbon foot print in comparison from manufacturing the mix to mining some of the ingredients to there is also chemical reaction to when the concrete is setting it is setting.

Cement is manufactured through a closely controlled chemical combination of calcium, silicon, aluminum, iron and other ingredients. Common materials used to manufacture cement include limestone, shells, and chalk or marl combined with shale, clay, slate, blast furnace slag, silica sand, and iron ore. Concrete is a mixture of cement, air, water, sand, and gravel. The typical concrete mix is made up of roughly 10% cement, 20% air and water, 30% sand, and 40% gravel.

These are limited resources that we can not simply go out and plant more iron ore silicon and calcium etc like we can with planting trees we have to extract and mine for these elements.

However I will admit in some countries they are cutting down forests without replanting and I do disagree with that.
