We all know the impact the coronavirus is having on lives around the world, but particularly on business and tourism back here in New Zealand.

Now the call has gone out for a delay in raising the minimum wage because of it.

The minimum wage is due to go up from $17.70 to $18.90 on April 1st, but Hospitality NZ say that should be delayed by three to six months otherwise job losses could increase as businesses are already under the pump.

Hospitality NZ Chief Executive Julie White joined Tim Dower to explain further.
