New Zealand need to truly think about digital sovereignty and not be controlled by Microsoft who can easily leak any information, which they have openly admitted they have done to foreign governments, Frances as deleted Windows from their governmental systems, not only capitalizing their digital sovereignty but saving millions of euro's a year. Germany and many other EU Countries are following this. 

Both New Zealand and Australia must do this as well. Even if it is a joint venture to switch to Open Source, develop their own Distribution base on Suse, Libre Office etc... Open source is now more than mature enough for this. NZ and our Aussie family across the ditch need to think seriously about digital sovereignty.  

This is where it would be good for Australia and New Zealand (and maybe some of the pacific islands as well) to develop our own Distribution

Why do I say OS based on Suse Linux and not Debian, well Debian is is based in the United States SUSE is based in German, and I currently class the United States as a Rogue State, there is not stopping the US Government forcing Debian to put spyware in some code.... even if it is open source and we can read the code...(I don't believe they would, but still) it still could easily be hidden in the depths of the code and we should have to inspect the code after before every update. 

Doing this would break free from the Giant corporations like Microslop, and Adobe and save millions in fees to these mega corporations as well as the all important digital sovereignty.

Anyway just my thoughts.
