Working alongside our military partners. Royal Australian Navy's frigate HMAS Arunta and one of our Orion aircraft are supporting the enforcement of United Nations Security Council resolutions imposing sanctions against North Korea.

Aircrew on our Orion are carrying out maritime surveillance patrols to detect and deter attempts to evade sanctions such as through illicit ship-to-ship transfers at sea of sanctioned goods such as oil and coal.
The sanctions resolutions are intended to persuade North Korea to denuclearise and abandon its ballistic missile capabilities.
During an engagement at sea, a sailor on HMAS Arunta was able to achieve a dual aircraft control skill upgrade.
