In an ominous threat to Prime Minister Scott Morrison, China is doubling down after the furore over a shocking doctored image depicting a grinning Australian soldier slitting the throat of an Afghan child, news.com.au reports.

The false account tells recipients to pay $79.95 for a vehicle license renewal.

China has become the second country in the world to plant its flag on the moon. 

It was placed into the lunar soil by the country's Chang'e-5 space probe, which is now on its way back to Earth with rock samples.
