I had a sewing and quilting weekend away retreat at held at the christian Camp on the Kilmog with other members from what we have called ourselves "The Kilmog Girls" and decided to visit Blueskin Nursery and Café on the Friday for an early lunch with some friends. Was a lovely day in the sun.

Well we needed a coffee like we do every Saturday, and we looked at our list of cafes that we have not visited, it was a coin toss between Vogel St Kitchen and EBB-CAFE. As we were driving along Xaria said we try Vogel St Kitchen and see if we can get a park pretty close. As we turned into Vogel Street a park was right there and we both said Vogel St Kitchen it is then.

The girls were going for a ride so Bernie and myself decided we will go for a ride as well. We decided Middlemarch the "Kissing Gate Cafe". It is an old favorite for the many local bikers out there that do the Middlemarch loop.

Walking the dog this morning we wondered what cafe we would visit for our weekly weekend cafe visit. Last night Xaria mentioned "Joe's Garage" So Joe's Garage it was. To be fair we were not 100% sure if it meet with our criteria of being a cafe. Restaurant yes... cafe not so sure.

Today we decided to go to the Otago Early Settlers Museum Cafe, because we had tried in the past and it was closed. The Museum itself was open just not the cafe, but to be fair it was a public holiday. So we said lets go there...

Welcome to Nighthawk and Xaria's Cafescapade's, where we travel about to various different cafe's have a coffee and a bite to eat like sausage roll, cheese roll or maybe a cheese scone. On the odd occasion we may eat a full lunch meal.
