We have tried a couple of times to get to Poppy's cafe, we had been there Christmas Eve 2021 and tried several times to go again for the officialness of the Cafescapde.

It was a dark and stormy night no wait wrong story, it was actually not a bad day and we heard of a new bakery (possibly) a cafe called "Casavalencia" in Musselburgh however as it tuned out it is just a bakery that also does take away coffee... so it would be rude not to try the coffee and some savories. The coffee was pretty good as was the savories.
However not being a cafe as such we decided that we would try Poppy's Cafe later on in the day maybe around lunch time. Which so happens to be exactly what we did.

It was a little after the lunchtime rush we went meaning there was not a lot left in cabinet savories however we ordered some cheese rolls 2 for me and 1 for Xaria.
people their already dinning and few people came and went ass well. One thing I did not notice the first time we were there although it was a year ago was they had outdoor seating out the back which would be nice on a sunny day.
The cheese rolls were okay... and came out pre-buttered etc which was a nice touch most places give butter on the side. However I would not say they were awesome but fine/okay mid range on our scale of "awesomenus". The coffee wasn't to bad at all. However to be fair on all this I myself was feeling a little under the weather and not my normal happy go lucky self.
The service was friendly and price was to bad It had a bit of old school cafe feel to it which to be honest is fine with me. Overall it wasn't bad and would visit again as at this stage it is our closest cafe.
