On our way back from Oamaru with friends we went for a few scenic detours. Our friends were sure there was a café in Karitane and I was sure there wasn’t as we had checked it out just after dawn a few months ago. We were very happy to be proved wrong.

Xaria and I were invited to go to Oamaru with some friends basically to go to a garden market and have a look around... As well as go to a café.

Well to we have plans... and the original plan was to go to Waikouati Bakery ... why the bakery and a bit of Sunday Drive ... because the advertised coffee we wanted to see if there was also any seating ... So we know they had plenty of serve over the counter cabinet food... I mean it is a bakery after all. However there was out doors seating but none in doors... so we had to rule out, BUT to be fair they did not advertise they were a cafe... SO...

We are slowly running out of cafe's to visit as we near the end of our cafescpade, but there are a still a few we have to do and Union Co Cafe out at Port Chalmers is another one we crossed off the list.

On the way back home, we dropped into 'Night N Day' for a coffee and sausage roll.
Whilst we knew that it would not be a full café experience "BUT" and there is always a but... it had café in the name, we had to try it.
